Why choose ISGT?

Our #1 goal at the ISGT is to make your child’s first experience at school a positive and exciting one!

Your child will have the experience of growing and learning on the beautiful campus of the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo and its surrounding 48 acres, with opportunities to interact with our Imams and community members.

ISGT students have classmates whose families may come from diverse backgrounds, but who share common values.

By sending your child to ISGT, the Islamic Center will become your child’s second home where they will develop their first friendships. As a parent, you will see these early friendships extend beyond their time at ISGT. It is truly heartwarming to see former classmates seek each other out at Eid celebrations, the International Festival, Weekend School, and other ICGT religious and social events all because of their time spent together at ISGT.

As a parent, you will have peace of mind knowing that your child is spending the day with like-minded teachers who are modeling and reinforcing Islamic behavior within the classroom, just as you would at home.

Your child will grow socially, spiritually, emotionally, and academically. The supportive and loving home-like environment of ISGT will help develop your child’s confidence and Islamic identity.

Your child’s morning begins with 2 rakats (late Fajr) and prayer instruction. This year our Islamic religious instruction will focus on The Prophets of Islam as well as Islamic manners (Adab) such as courtesy, respect for elders, and appropriateness. Your child will also receive daily instruction in Arabic.

At ISGT we prioritize your child’s social-emotional readiness, but we also understand the importance of your child being prepared academically. Our small class sizes enable us to meet your child wherever they are in their kindergarten academic-readiness journey.

We are an Ohio Department of Education licensed program and we teach at a pace that will see your child reach the standards set by the State for kindergarten readiness. We continue to strive and have been very successful in giving our students the opportunities to surpass those standards.

What’s more?

Our almost 7-hour school day allows us to learn at a relaxed pace that allows for plenty of play and hands-on learning.

For the upcoming school year, we are offering full-time and part-time enrollment.

Our school day is from 8:15 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
