Reopening for Jumu’ah Prayers

Assalamu alaikum,

InshAllah the Islamic Center will be re-opening on, Friday, February 5, 2021 in a limited capacity. Jumu’ah will be held in the main prayer hall with policies put forth by the COVID-19 Task Force.

Alhamdulillah, there has been a decrease in COVID-19 cases in the region over the last couple of weeks and many of the highest risk members in our community have been or are in the process of getting vaccinated from this deadly virus.

We realize how difficult it has been on the community to be away from the Masjid for all this time, unable to see your fellow community members and friends. We want to thank you for your patience over the last year as we have been trying our best to provide for your needs while keeping the health and safety of the community our highest priority.

The pandemic is still very much with us and we don’t know when it will end with new viral strains emerging throughout the country. We want to minimize the risk to our community as much as possible. As a result, the Islamic Center is in the process of installing a state of the art air purification system capable of ridding the internal environment (air and surfaces) of all pollutants, allergens, and microbials (bacterial and viral), including the coronavirus. This is a costly endeavor, but we feel it is well worth the price, both now, and for the future. It is currently on order, and should be installed in the next few weeks, InshAllah. We appreciate your continued support and hope that you can donate towards this project.
